PDF to audio in your browser

Listen to selectable PDF text with Kokoro voices running in your browser. Follow the highlighted transcript, click any line to jump to it, and download the current section or the complete recording as a WAV.

How to use pdf to audio

  1. Select a PDF to extract its text automatically. To read specific pages, set a page range and extract again.
  2. Choose an English voice and speed, then press Play. Kokoro downloads on first use and prepares speech while you listen.
  3. Follow the synced lyrics-style transcript. Click a line to jump there, or use the player’s previous and next buttons to move between PDF pages.
  4. Each section is one PDF page. Download current section saves that entire page once its audio is ready. Download full prepares and saves all selected pages in the original PDF order.

Before you start

Scanned PDFs need OCR, which is not included. Speech is limited to 12,000 characters. The model downloads from Hugging Face; generation runs locally using WebAssembly and needs sufficient memory.

Audio models load only when you request them. Files and text are not sent to an AI inference service. Read the privacy policy.
