How to use encrypt file

1. Choose a file using the file picker or drop zone.
2. Review password, confirm password and adjust the available settings.
3. Create the result, review its preview and download it before leaving the tool.

Before you start

Uses a random salt and IV, PBKDF2-SHA-256 with 600,000 iterations and AES-256-GCM. The output is an xfiles encrypted container, not a password-protected ZIP. You need this password and Decrypt File to restore it.

Selected files are limited to 150 MB total (100 MB for video). Results stay in this tab; download before leaving. Read the privacy policy.
